The tale of a lonely sailor, true or false?

Pulling up to the hotel Friday evening we came across a very mysterious object. We are still unaware of how it became abandoned in such a strange place, is this simply a decoration or is there a much larger story going on?

Our minds have been thinking that perhaps this boat once belonged to a lonely sailor, a man that sailed the sea with only a small dog as a companion. 

He travelled the world with enthusiasm hoping that he would one day come across a land to call his own. Perhaps one day he did, his little dog yapping on the shores of unknown beauty. 

He pulled his boat for almost a year, up mountains and through snow. Through trees and scorching sun. He was almost crazy by the time he came across this little piece of land. Later named The Seehoff. 

His body was never found. All that remains is his little boat and two life rings. And maybe, his ghost still protects his dream as a dog can be heard barking in the distance
